Stone Family Keeper: Homemade Spaghetti Sauce with Meat

Servings 4 servings


  • 1 lb. ground beef I use 85%
  • 1 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 2 pinches salt I use himalayan salt
  • 6 oz. tomato paste
  • 16 oz. tomato sauce
  • 1 Tb. minced garlic
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese green can kind
  • 1 Tb. olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste


  • Brown ground beef with 1 tsp. minced garlic, 1/2 tsp. onion powder, and 2 pinches of salt. Remove from skillet when browned, and set aside.
  • Add 1 Tb. minced garlic, tomato paste, and half of the tomato sauce and whisk until the tomato paste is incorporated evenly with the other ingredients.
  • Add the rest of the tomato sauce and other ingredients and whisk ingredients together well.
  • Add the ground beef back to the sauce and bring to a boil.
  • Simmer 30 minutes.
  • Serve over your favorite pasta or vegetable, or in a casserole or lasagne.
