Abi's Knockoff Starbucks Medicine Ball Tea
This recipe is best made with mint green tea, but if you don't mind skipping the mint, just green tea tastes great too. If you love mint and can't find mint green tea, add a bag of mint tea, or some fresh mint leaves to the brew and strain off before drinking.
- 4 bags green tea
- 2 bags peach tea
- 2-3 bag mint tea
- 1/8 c honey* or to taste
- 1/8 c lemon juice (fresh is best, but bottled is fine) or to taste
Steep green tea for 3 mins in 8 oz. 165 degree water. (Green tea burns, and tastes awful if steeped at too high a temperature or for too long.)**
Once green tea is finished steeping, pour it into a quart jar and add honey and lemon.
In a separate mug, steep peach and mint tea bags in 8 oz. boiling water, about 5 minutes.**
Pour peach and mint teas into quart jar when finished brewing.
Top off with room temperature or warm water, depending on the temperature you prefer.
Adjust lemon and honey to taste.
*Honey is recommended for this recipe, as sugar will cause the flavor to be different, and it doesn't taste as good.
**If tea steeping times or temperatures are different than instructions, steep according to instructions on the package.
