Self-reliance is the ability to provide many of your family’s needs through learned skills and resources around you. Gardening, food preservation, and herbalism are a few skills that elevate your self-reliance game. How you put those skills and resources to use will dictate how dependent on others you will be to provide what your family needs every day.
In the month of January, I will be participating in a weekly challenge to share what I am doing to become more self-reliant here at Stone Family Farmstead (the farm, not the blog). In “real life” I will be focusing on getting my spring garden ready. I will be sharing posts with you so you can do the same, so make sure to stay tuned, and if you haven’t already subscribed to my newsletter, now would be a good time to do that.
