The savings you will make by gradually becoming self-sufficient with your mini farm in tow will make a positive impact on your financial life.

As you strive to independently take charge and grow and make what you need to survive, you will, of course, develop a lot of new knowledge and skills. Whether designing a plan to build your own well and creating a water supply to your property with the assistance of a water pressure booster system. Or testing the acidity of the soil to define where you can plant particular seeds. By living off the land, you will accrue a never-ending stream of knowledge which leads to a great sense of fulfillment.

Learning new skills is a fantastic goal that will go a long way toward building your own mini farm. Stress Busting

You may be thinking this category contradicts the notion of creating your own farm. Yes, certain parts of becoming self-sufficient will be challenging, but overall soaking up fresh oxygen every day, to being amongst greenery and doing something that you enjoy, will enable your wellbeing to flourish. Let’s not forget, simply being in the great outdoors is proven by research to reduce blood pressure and improve short term memory also.

Organic Produce

With pesticides and chemical fertilizers used by various farmers and companies to help food products grow faster, this is another reason why people prefer to create their own organic food.  We tend to be quite blind to the fact that each piece of food we choose in the supermarket has experienced a journey.

Whether good or bad, we tend to ingest it, with little knowledge about whether it has been drenched in chemicals, or in an animals case, been treated and fed poorly throughout its life. With your own mini-farm, you are in control of that journey. From chickens to potatoes, at least you know exactly how it has been looked after throughout its life and whether you think it’s healthy enough to ingest.
