Gravy is one of the most fabulous foods, but it can be tricky to master. This easy gravy recipe uses my homemade white sauce mix, which is super versatile, and can be adjusted easily for any flavor, any meal.

My homemade white sauce is the perfect texture and thickness to make the most wonderful, decadent gravies that goes well over pork chops, veggies, or just plain mashed potatoes.

Three Easy Gravy Recipes

For the sake of ease, go to this post and make the homemade white sauce mix. It should only take a few minutes. I’ll wait right here for you.

CHICKEN OR BEEF GRAVY FROM BOUILLON

In a skillet, combine 1 cup mix and 2 cups room temperature water, whisk, then reduce heat until thick. Add 2 tsp Better Than Bouillon Chicken or Beef flavor, or 1 bouillon cube of the flavor you desire.

SAUSAGE (FOR BISCUITS AND GRAVY)

Brown 1/2 lb. ground sausage. Drain and remove fat from pan. Combine 1 cup mix and 2 cups room temperature water in the skillet, whisk, then reduce heat until thick. Add seasonings such as salt, pepper, and the sausage. Serve over homemade rolls.

TURKEY GRAVY USING ROAST TURKEY DRIPPINGS

In a skillet, combine 1 cup mix and 2 cups boiling roast turkey drippings (fat separated out first), whisk, then reduce heat until thick. Add seasonings such as salt, pepper, sage, and thyme to taste.
